The C6 Corvette History
The next generation of Corvette began in 2005 and once again all C6 corvette parts were new. The only common factor was the front engine-rear transmission set up. A brand New 6.0 liter engine (365 CI.) AKA LS2 had a neck snapping 400hp which propelled the car from 0-60 in under 4.2 seconds and a top speed of 190mph. Fixed headlights returned which were last seen in 1962. The wheelbase was longer but the car was shortened by 5.1 inches.
The C6 Corvette suspension has three options. The first was the base which was for just normal every day driving. The second was the F55 magnetic selective ride which changed based on road conditions and the manner in which the car was driven and of course the race ready Z-51.
